On May 5th, step into Quartel do Carmo for a special guided tour!
To mark the first half-century since the event of the 25 de Abril de 1974, the Museum of the Guarda Nacional Republicana is opening the doors of the Carmo Barracks to the public for a limited period.
Located in the iconic Largo do Carmo, it was the stage for one of the most defining moments of the Revolução dos Cravos, bringing an end to dictatorship.
Walk through this symbolic building, admire the grandeur of the Noble Hall, the magnificent view from the main Balcony, and discover the legacy that shaped modern Portugal!
