The aroma of grilled sardines fills the air, glasses are raised with ginjinha, and Portuguese folk music sets the soundtrack for an unforgettable celebration!
Saudade Language School invites it’s students to join for this special occasion with a guided tour through one of Lisbon’s most authentic and emblematic neighbourhoods: Alfama.

Latest Book Club Meeting
We are pleased to announce another session of the Book Club Entrelinhas on May 30th at 3 PM!
May 5th is World Portuguese Language Day. This date was officially established in 2009 by the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) – a UNESCO partner organization.
This special day brings together the peoples who share the Portuguese language as an element of their identity to celebrate Lusophone cultures, honoring both what unites us and what makes each community unique — the cultural diversity, creativity, and distinct expressions that give the language its special character across different lands.
We believe that language can be a means for harmonious communication between peoples, promoting unity in diversity, the exchange of experiences and knowledge, tolerance, and dialogue.
Thus, the book chosen by the Entrelinhistas members for this session is: Quem me dera ser onda, by the Angolan author Manuel Rui.
