We’ve curated this month’s selection to help you learn more about Portuguese Culture!

On September 18th, Saudade School is pleased to accompany its students for the very first time to the Codfish History Interpretation Center:

• The exhibition is dedicated to codfish and the connection of the Portuguese people with the sea.
• It emerged in Portuguese eating habits starting in the 15th century.
• Life on board is also evoked through objects and oral testimonies from fishermen.

During the visit, it is also possible to maneuver a dory boat and experience the loneliness and low temperatures to which line fishermen were subjected.

After that, we will visit the Rua Augusta Arch, an iconic and representative monument of the city of Lisbon:

The Rua Augusta Arch provides access to a viewpoint offering a 360º panoramic view over the city. The emblematic Terreiro do Paço square, the Baixa Pombalina, the Sé Cathedral, the São Jorge Castle, and the Tagus River are some of the iconic landmarks seen from the top of the building.
