Museum of Aljube – Resistance and Liberty
At Saudade, we believe that learning a language is inseparable from experiencing its culture.
That’s why we bring Portuguese history, traditions, and stories into the heart of our lessons, building bridges between our students’ roots and their new home.
Last week, we took learning beyond the classroom and into the Museum of Aljube – Resistance and Liberty.
There, students could see, feel, and experience history – deepening their understanding of topics we had explored in class, like dictatorship, revolution, and colonisation.
All in preparation for the 25th of April — the most meaningful day in the Portuguese collective memory.
