Bordalo Pinheiro Museum

During our visit to the Bordalo Pinheiro Museum on August 22, we delved into the captivating world of this multifaceted artist.

Our journey allowed us to explore the luxurious ceramics of Bordalo’s work, from his luxurious and ornate ceramics to the everyday pieces that brought him closer to the hearts of the people and our students’ knowledge.

However, what truly enthralled our students was discovering Bordalo’s role as an illustrator, designer, and political and social caricaturist.
Together, we contemplated and discussed the significance of this unique form of artistic intervention, not only in the early 19th century but also in today’s world.

This experience opened our eyes to the enduring relevance of his work, reminding us of the power of art to comment on and shape society.
