Panorâmico de Monsanto

On August 26, we visited the Panorâmico de Monsanto with our lovely guided tour Daniela!

Panorâmico is truly a unique building in the heart of Parque Florestal de Monsanto. In 1968, it was built to host a luxury restaurant that covered all its 5 floors and had an amazing 360º panoramic view over Lisbon. The building was decorated with wonderful ceramic pieces, frescos and tiled panels of important Portuguese artists.

Over the following decades it went through great changes, which eventually led it to vandalism and abandonment.
Recently, it gained a new life and it’s now a part of the city’s Urban and Contemporary Art scene!
