Latest Cultural Activity

Saudade Language School is very excited to take its students, for the first time, to MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology.
We will admire this beautiful riverside building by the Tagus River, and enjoy the unique opportunity to experience the exhibition “Notre Feu” by Isabelle Ferreira, guided by the artist herself, in Portuguese!
Isabelle Ferreira is a Luso-descendant artist who explores, through her art, the memory of Portuguese emigration to France.
O Salto addresses the theme of the rituals emigrants followed when crossing the border during the time of the Dictatorship.
Latest Book Club Meeting

For the 3rd meeting of our Book Club Ler nas Entrelinhas, we challenge our students to explore Portuguese Poetry with us, as well as take part in our Open Mic session!
Upon signing up, students will be given a short anthology with various poems by Portuguese authors.
As we read through these poems together, students will be able to discuss with the group which poems, verses, lines or expressions they liked best, and why.
And lastly, the second part of the meeting will be reserved for the Open Mic session!
Students will be able to share their favorite poems with the group, and talk about what they love most about them, their importance
Join us in this special moment of social gathering and sharing, and experience Portuguese Poetry with us!
