MAAT – “Notre Feu” Exhibition

Saudade Language and Culture School is very happy to have taken its students, for the first time, to the MAAT – Museu de Arte, Arquitetura e Tecnologia.

We admired this beautiful building on the banks of the River Tagus and took the unique opportunity to visit the exhibition Notre Feu, with a guided tour, in Portuguese, led by the artist Isabelle Ferreira.

Isabelle Ferreira is a Luso-descendant artist who explores, through her art work, the memory of Portuguese emigration to France.

“O Salto” is inspired by the rituals that Portuguese emigrants followed when crossing the border during the period of the Dictatorship.

The students loved this enriching experience, and Saudade School is deeply grateful for the warm welcome received at the MAAT, as well as for the generosity and availability of Isabelle Ferreira.
