Book Club #6: Children’s Literature

June is the month in which we celebrate Children’s Day. As such, our Book Club dedicated a special morning to Children’s Literature — the genre through which so many of us first first connect with language and discover the joy of reading.

We began with a special session open to families, students, and new participants, where we had the pleasure of welcoming Joana Pinho, one of the authors of As Elfas e os Sete Sentidos. She provided all of us with a delightful reading and discussion of the book!

After the children’s literature session, we continued with our regular Book Club meeting, where we shared our thoughts on O Gato Malhado e a Andorinha Sinhá, by Jorge Amado!
