Roman Theater – Museum of Lisbon
🏛🎭 On the 17th of November, we took our students to see the Roman Theatre in Lisbon, a cornerstone of the Roman city Felicitas lulia Olisipo (Lisbon), which stood majestically on a hill as a symbol of the Roman Empire.
🏺 On this visit, we had the opportunity to explore the remains of the ancient Roman Theatre, a wide range of artefacts found in the archaeological excavations and the exhibition on what the theatre would have looked like at that time, which gave us an insight into the architectural, cultural and social development of the city over the centuries.
At the end, we took the opportunity to go to the Santa Luzia viewpoint for a glass of wine 🍷 and enjoy the magnificent sunset with its dazzling colours over the River Tagus.
